Wildman, Walter Howard

August 3, 2025

Walter Howard Wildman

Walter passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025.

Walter was born on March 9, 1937 in Saskatchewan and then moved to Creston, British Columbia with his family at a young age. Upon the accidental death of his father due to a logging accident, he headed East and settled in Melaval, Saskatchewan where he met and married his first wife, Mavis Bolton.

Walt farmed and then went onto a career in heavy duty mechanics. He lost Mavis to illness and later married Jacqueline Meister.

In retirement, they travelled across North America. Walt loved his vehicles and the experience that came with driving. They spent many winters RVing in warmer climates.

Walt lost Jackie in September, 2017.

In his latter years, he enjoyed his coffee groups, going out for lunches and spending time with family friends.

Walt was a very strong and proud man with a soft heart.

As per Walter’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Walter & Mavis were great neighbors to many, and also family to the Johnsons, in the Melaval district for many many years. Walter & Mavis were hard workers and kind and generous people. RIP, Walter.
