June 5, 2026

The family of Todd Richter are saddened to announce his sudden and unexpected passing on Friday, June 5, 2026 at the age of 63 years. Todd is survived by the love of his life wife, Kathy; daughter Ashley (Gaël) and his first grandchild, a grandson lovingly nicknamed Baby T, arriving this fall to a lifetime of Grandpa’s stories; son Jordy (Aisha); sisters Cheryl (Dennis) and Charlene (Brian) and their families; many members of Kathy’s extended family; numerous nieces and nephews; his friends who were family; and his fur-ever companion, Molly. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Arlene.
Todd is forever unforgettable. It only took one conversation for him to find common ground with anyone, fill a room with laughter, and turn a stranger into a lifelong friend. He loved with all his heart, laughed like it was the medicine this world needed, and kept time with a rhythm that drew us all into the same heartbeat. Through his kindness, generosity, and unmistakable spirit, he touched countless lives and left each one richer for having known him. To all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey, Todd was truly a gift.
That gift belonged first to Kathy, his high school sweetheart. Together, they danced their way through life—through every twist, turn, and dip—never letting go. From their love came Ashley and Jordy, the pride and joy of his life. Todd always went the extra mile and then some in everything he did, but especially for his family. He was there for every pursuit, behind every dream, and the first to say, “It’s Go Time,” even when those dreams carried his loved ones far from home. A love like his knows no distance and travels anywhere. His stories, his laughter, and his love will live on in all who knew him. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
A Come-and-Go Celebration of his Life will be held in the Disley Hall, 370 First Street, Disley, SK, on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a program beginning at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
“Some people touch our lives for a moment. Todd touched countless lives with laughter, stories, and love, and those gifts will remain with us forever.”
