Terrance (Terry) Norman Keyowski

Terrance (Terry) Norman Keyowski passed away on November 23, 2025 at the Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Regina Pasqua Hospital after a long and courageous fight with cancer, with his Mother and Brother Ken at his side. He was 60 years old.

Terry was born on a cold night on January 29, 1965 at the Yorkton Union Hospital to Norman and Ethel (nee Hoy) Keyowski.

He grew up on the family farm at Jedburgh, SK. He attended school in Jedburgh for Grades 1-4, Willowbrook for Grades 5-6, Yorkton Composite Junior High for Grades 7-9 and finally graduating High School in 1983 from the Yorkton Regional High School.

He then went on to take Electronics Engineering Technology at the Saskatchewan Institute of Technology in Moose Jaw in which he graduated in 1985.

His first job after he graduated from Moose Jaw was installing and maintaining sound systems and nurse calls throughout Saskatchewan with Adams Soundtronics out of Regina. In 1999 he left that job to work as a Bio Medical Engineering Tech in Clinical Engineering for the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. His main duties was fixing and maintaining equipment throughout the Regina Health region. He held that job right up to his passing.

From a young age he always had a passion for electronics, computers and tinkering around with fixing things. He learned a lot for his future trade by mastering his 125 Electronic Projects kit that he got for Christmas from Radio Shack.

Terry was active in the Local 4-H Club in Crop Science, Outdoorsman and Beef projects. He also was part of the 4-H curling program that took part in a number of Curling events. He also played Saxophone in various bands in both Junior and High School.

Another one of his favorite hobbies was Radio DX-ing. He would spend many a night at the farm finding, listening to and logging various radio stations on Am, FM, Shortwave, Ham Radio and listening to whatever was going on in the area with Radio Scanners. At that time you could listen to the Police, Firefighters and even Cell-Phone calls up until all of these signals became scrambled. He met a lot of friends from all over the World with this hobby.

He also loved fishing as well, as he took many a fishing trip with his Dad and family.

Over the last few years, he enjoyed socializing with his Co-workers from the Regina Health Region. He was also a big sports fan and he actively followed the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Lions of the NFL.

Terry was predeceased by his Father, Norman ; Grand Parents, Peter and Marie Keyowski and George and Edna Hoy; also by his Uncle Leonard and Auntie Emelie Forster plus his Uncle Roman and Auntie Alice Rushinko.

He is survived by his Mother Ethel and Brother Ken; also his Uncle Larry (Janice) Keyowski from Yorkton and his Auntie Debbie (Jack) from Springside along with several Cousins.

Terry requested that he would have no funeral but a Celebration of Life held in his honour at The Last Straw Pub in Regina with his friends and co-workers with a evening of Beer and Wings after work in which Terry enjoyed.

There will be an interment to follow at a later date with his family.

Memorials in memory of Terry can be made to the Palliative Care Unit 3A of the Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK.
