June 2, 2026

Susan Sydney Schurr (née Sherman) passed away on June 2, 2026 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 83, following complications from a recent surgery. Born in Los Angeles, California, Susan eventually made Canada her home, living in Edmonton, Ottawa and later Regina; she lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.
Susan is lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Bryce; her daughter Carie and son-in-law David, along with their son Ryan; her son Sean and daughter-in-law Elizabeth, along with their children Heidi and Simon.
A woman of remarkable warmth and generosity, Susan had a gift for bringing people together. She loved to cook and host gatherings of all sizes, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary celebrations. For Susan, the weekend began on Thursday and stretched joyfully into Tuesday - a testament to her zest for life and her passion for entertaining friends and family. Her home was always a welcoming haven filled with laughter and love.
Susan’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world through travel. She embraced new experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity. Her flair for fashion and decor was evident in every aspect of her life - whether shopping for the perfect outfit or designing spaces that reflected her impeccable taste.
Susan will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and natural gift for making others feel welcome, valued, and included. Her legacy of kindness and hospitality will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As per her wishes cremation will take place. As there will not be a funeral or memorial service, we hope that we may gather together here on this condolences page to share memories and stories amongst her friends far and wide. May the memories of Susan bring comfort to those who knew her and loved her.
Should you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations towards your favourite charity, made in her memory, would be a kind and generous gesture.
