Hopkin, Steve

Steve Hopkin

It is with love and sadness we share that Steve passed away on June 18, 2025.

Steve is survived by his children Chad (Michelle), Bradley and Erica (Tyler) and grandson Ryker; his father Kenneth Hopkin; his sisters Linda Hopkin and Susan Hopkin; his sisters-in-law Yvonne Gray and Locksie (Bill) McLeod; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Jacalyn; his mother Lorna Buchanan and his brother Stuart Hopkin.

Steve worked in the construction industry for the majority of his working life and served many through his role at Parkland Carpet One for over 18 years.

Steve’s knack for making those in his presence feel welcome will truly be missed. He had uncanny research abilities, an incredible passion for cars and a detailed eye for design that many had the chance to experience. Steve was a great chef, fixer of all things and an excellent person to go to for advice.

Steve was incredibly proud of his children and spending time with his family and close friends was a top priority in his retirement. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and those who crossed paths with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Steve and Jackie on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Conexus Arts Centre (Theatre Lobby), 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan. The work of The War Amps was important to Steve. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The War Amps.
