It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Roy Goodhue on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the age of 80.
Roy was a kind and gentle soul, who cherished his family and had a deep unwavering faith. He found great joy in sharing the word of the Lord and was passionate about speaking and preaching his faith. A simple man at heart, Roy found happiness in the small moments of life.
After a long battle with dementia, Roy passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Irene and Roy Goodhue and his grandson Dustin.
Roy is survived by his son Tim (Cheryl) Goodhue; his daughter Teena Foote; his grandchildren Grant (Lexi), Shaina, Skyler, Adam, Courtney, Chelsea and Bella; and several great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends from Argyle Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the friends and caregivers at Elmview Long Term Care Home for their compassionate care during Roy’s final years.
A Private Family Service will be held.
Roy will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Roy was a very dear friend for many years. He mentored me spiritually and taught me so much. I will always be thankful to God for bringing him into my life. He will be greatly missed but I know he is now with the wonderful Lord and Saviour he loved and lived to serve and for that I am so thankful. I look forward to seeing him again when it is my time to go home to be with Jesus.
