March 12, 2025
Ronald Gordon Byers, beloved son of Richard and Gwen, formerly of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025 at the age of 62.
Ron was born in Trenton, Ontario. He spent most of his years in London, Ontario before coming to Regina, Saskatchewan in 2010 with the love of his life, Deborah and their two sons.
Ron is survived by his wife Deborah (nee Grilly); their two sons Peter (Lyndsey) and Thomas (Allie); their adoring grandchildren Hunter, Gabriel, Isabella, Amelia, and Evaeh; his four siblings Rod (Rose), Pat (Pat), Judy (Will) and Rick (Kristen); his father-in-law Peter Grilly (Diane); many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered as an amazing family member, loving husband, father, grandfather (umpa), brother, uncle and caring friend.
Ron was always quick to help others and be a friend if you needed one. The front door was always open. A piece of him was left on anybody that crossed paths with Ron.
There was a great love for his motorbike, airsoft and the mountains. He was a devoted and ambitious tradesman.
His wishes were to have a small celebration with family and friends.
A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Hillsdale Baptist Church on Grant Road, 336 Durham Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice or Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.

Debbie, you know my heart - I wish we could just jump in the car and bring you guys food and lots of hugs and love. I thank God that I had a face to face video conversation with Ron before that precious window of communication closed. It meant so much to me. Ron was my brother in the Lord and I valued his friendship. Know that I’m praying for your families and for Ron’s good friends who are also in mourning. He was a gem. Love you Debbie.

To Debbie & family. I had the privilege to go through high school with Ron and he was always so kind and welcoming. No matter what was going on in life he was there to lend an ear. So blessed to have had the pleasure of having him near by. May God continue to enrich your lives knowing that Ron will never be forgotten. Blessings Brother Jeff

Ron was like a brother to me working at McDonald’s while I was in high school, we started karate together, and he talked me into buying my first motorcycle. He really was like a big brother to me back then.
