July 19, 2024
With heavy hearts we regretfully announce the sudden passing of Randy William Shing. After a short but courageous battle with cancer he left us peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on July 19, 2024.
Randy was born on July 27, 1959 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Evelyn and Willie Shing. He attended Thom Collegiate High School and was known for scrapping in the parking lot more than attending classes. Some of his passions included his love for upholstery, refurbishing old cars, Saskatchewan Roughriders, boating, fishing and spending time with friends and family at Regina Beach, Saskatchewan.
Randy was a devoted husband, loving father and a cherished friend to many. His sense of humour, strength and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew him.
Randy lived life to the fullest. He leaves a lifetime of friends and family to celebrate his life, including his wife Audrey; daughter Jennie; son Regan (Delayne); his mother Evelyn; his sisters Corrine (Doug) and Pam (Wilfred); as well as numerous nephews, nieces , aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Willie; son Christopher; his brother Darren; father-in-law Lewis and mother-in-law Erva.
Upon Randy’s request no funeral service will be held. We would like to thank all friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. My condolences and love to his family. I have many memories of Randy growing up. Randy, Corrine and Darren along with their Mom and Dad would spend time in Moosomin. It was fun for my brother Thomas and I to have more kids around to play hide and seek and other such games. Many Christmas's were spent together at Aunt Betty’s and Uncle Peter’s house. I have very special memories of us all gathered together in Grandad’s room where we shared Lucky Elephant popcorn and each of us would receive our traditional Chinese Red Envelope filled with a paper dollar. As we grew older the times we spent together were fewer and became those get togethers of major family events. Randy always had a great sense of humour and kept the party going with his insightful quips. With much love from Uncle Alfie, Auntie Lila and cousin Thomas Avann who are all in Heaven with you now and me Betty Upton.
We are always available and on call 24/7.
