Randy Rudolf Schutz

Randy Rudolph Schutz passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026 at the age of 74 surrounded by his loved ones.

Randy was predeceased by his mother Lorraine Schutz; his father Rudolph Schutz; his beloved wife of 41 years Gail Schutz; his sister-in-law Carol Burns; and his brothers-in-law Robert Burns and Gary Stewart.

Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory is his partner Melodie Mazur. He is also lovingly remembered by Melodie’s daughters Misty Urbatsch (David Howell) and Mariah Mazur (Denton Lerat), who held a special place in his heart. Randy is further survived by his sisters-in-law Darlene (Don) Miller and Donna Stewart; as well as many nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply and loved with all his heart.

Randy was born on June 13, 1951 in Melville, Saskatchewan. He spent many years working in the trucking industry, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and determination. In time, he became the proud owner of his own trucking company, Wagoneers X-Press, a venture that represented both his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to providing for those he loved.

Outside of work, Randy found joy in the open road on his motorcycle and in the company of the many friends whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his loyalty, generosity, sense of humor, and the deep love he held for his family.

In keeping with Randy’s wishes, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan, where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honour his memory.

Memorial donations in Randy’s memory may be made to the Regina Humane Society.

Very sad to read that Randy aka (Guts) I worked with Randy, rode with him, and partied many times. His special laugh always smiling, always the jokester, like the time he lit my snow boots on fire in front of Club Towing Office where we shared driving 25 Club Towings 750 wrecker. Wow a true good person in every way. Ride on my friend you were truly a good friend...We are all travelers in the world, and the best we can hope for, is to find a good friend like you..
