It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Philipp Risser, age 38, who left us on June 25, 2024. Philipp was a beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Philipp was a talented guitar player whose music touched the hearts of many. He had an uncanny ability from a young age to pick up an instrument and learn to play. His passion was playing the guitar. His love for his craft was evident in every note he played. He was also a loyal friend, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand, and his warmth and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.
Philipp adored his family and was a dedicated son to his mother, April. His love and commitment to his family were unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them. As a brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, he brought joy and laughter into the lives of his relatives, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Philipp is survived by his mother April; father Wayne (Bev); his brothers Bradley (Heather), Lyle, and his sister Kristin (Steve); nephews Andrew, Everet, Bennett, Alex, Oliver and niece Isabel; and many cousins and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A Gathering for family and friends to Celebrate Philipp's Life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in The Eagles Club, 561 Home Street West, Moose Jaw, SK.
Rest in peace, Philipp. Your music, your love, and your spirit will live on in all of us.

The news was devastating but his passing made me remember so many great times with Phil. He was a good friend and a wonderful person to know. We would listen to him play guitar for hours.
