Obituaries

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Peter on August 26, 2025. Peter was predeceased by his parents Phil and Cora Petrucha, twin brother Michael Petrucha, nephew Michael Smith and son Sasha. Left to cherish his memory is his partner of 16 years, Nadeen and her daughter Traci; his children Adam and Aksana; his little sister and best friend, Teresa Yandeau (Guy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter was known for his sense of humour and his kindness. He was always equipped with his guitar, ready to sing a song and make everyone laugh. He never stopped putting others first, whether it be family or complete strangers – Peter was there to help. You could always find Peter with his beloved four-legged pal, Zach and grand-puppy, Quincy. They loved being at the lake, camping and fishing together.

Over the years, Peter and Nadeen enjoyed many trips together including exploring the east coast, visiting NASA in Florida, driving the Cabot Trail and a memorable trip to Branson, Missouri where he got to shake hands with Mickey Gilley.

Peter’s big smile and twinkling eyes will forever be remembered and carried in our hearts.

A private service will be held for immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory by donating online to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue or via mail to 1535A McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6H4.
