Pearl Elizabeth Fahlman

Born April 6, 1943, in Kipling, Saskatchewan, Pearl was promoted into the arms of Jesus at 5:00 a.m. on May 23, 2026 after 30+ years of pain and disability from Lyme disease.

Pearl is survived by her husband Frank Fahlman, son Brad Fahlman (Diyonn), daughter Shawna Schmidt; granddaughters Haley Neumann (Connor) and Rose Schmidt; brothers Neil Daku (Dawn) and Al Daku (Roseanne), and nephews Rhys Daku (Chantal Mougeot), Cort Daku (Kaitlin, daughter Layla), Tait Daku, and Dale Daku. Pearl was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Helen Daku, brother Don Daku (Grace Baron), and son-in-law Paul Schmidt.

Pearl graduated from Kipling High School in 1961. Although journalism was her first love, she also enjoyed the sciences, so chose to pursue a career in X-ray Laboratory Technology. After graduating from the program as a Certified Combined Technologist (CCT), she started her first job at the Fillmore Union Hospital in 1962. Pearl then met the love of her life, Frank Fahlman, at a local hockey game on Jan. 9, 1964. Pearl then returned to Regina to pursue more education, earning her Registered Technologist (RT), Laboratory Designation in 1966. She then accepted a position at Wascana Medical Associates in south Regina. Pearl and Frank continued their courtship while she was in Regina, eventually tying the knot in Regina on Dec. 27, 1967. They moved back to Fillmore to their permanent farm site 10 miles north of Fillmore in July 1968. She returned to work at the Fillmore Hospital but transitioned to fulltime farming in 1980 to focus on raising their kids with her husband. Her family will always remember the annual road trips throughout Canada and the U.S., which brought so much enjoyment and unforgettable memories.

Pearl’s everlasting mission was to boldly and passionately spread the good news of the gospel. She also served as an activist for a variety of initiatives to promote Christian and family values in schools and communities. Her long-term support of numerous charities such as World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, Friends of Israel, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and Options Pregnancy Center reflect her devotion in fighting for those in need through organizations that have far-reaching impacts across the world.

A Celebration of Pearl’s Life will be held at Heritage Alliance Church, Regina, SK a later date. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her many friends and loved ones over the years. Your friendship and support never went unnoticed; she was blessed to be surrounded by so many who truly loved her.
