Michelle Leanne Loustel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michelle Leanne Loustel, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, on May 22, 2024. Michelle was born on September 7, 1972 to Marvin and Marcella Voeltz in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Michelle was born after her big sister Yvette. Michelle had a wonderful upbringing as a child and was always surrounded by her family, many aunts, uncles and friends. Michelle always loved animals and held animals in the highest regard. She had horses, dogs, rabbits and cats through her life. After her last dog Acey passed, she took in a stray cat Bazil for company while she was sick. Bazil stayed with Michelle for her last week, to comfort her.

Michelle was married 3 times to Todd Shawaga, Randy Loustel and Daren Wolski. Michelle was divorced 2 times and separated once. Michelle and Randy had one son Jaden. Jaden was her pride and joy and she was always so proud of his accomplishments that she shared posts on Facebook regularly and also did many fun things with Jaden.

Michelle had many jobs in her lifetime but one of her biggest loves was as a makeup artist. Michelle loved makeup and doing different styles with her hair and different colours was the norm for her.

Michelle was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2023. Her journey then began to try and fight this horrible disease, but a 9 -10 month fight ended up with her losing this fight on May 22, 2024 in the Palliative Care Unit 3A in the Regina Pasqua Hospital.

Michelle fought this battle until her last breath. She was a trooper and wanted so bad to beat this cancer which had sadly taken her mother Marcella only 3 years prior.

Michelle was predeceased by her Mom and Dad; many uncles and aunts. Left to cherish her memory is Michelle’s sister Yvette and her daughter Burgandy; her second husband Randy and son Jaden; as well as her current husband Darren Wolski and family.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit 3A, as they were amazing at looking after every detail for Michelle. The procession by many staff members after Michelle’s passing was also so amazing and professional. Again, Thank you!!

A Celebration for Michelle’s Life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Smokin’ Okies BBQ restaurant, 2547 Quance Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Please respond to Randy Loustel by text at 306-570-1887 if you will be attending.
