Leonard "Rick" Allan Parisian

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Dad, Leonard Allan Parisian, known to so many as Rick, who left this world surrounded by the love of his family on October 16, 2026 at the age of 81.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 21, 1945, Dad lived 81 years of a life that was built on hard work, family, friendship, and helping others. He was a proud longtime member of Ironworkers Local 771, a hardworking man who believed in earning what you had, lending a hand when someone needed it, and looking after the people around you.

Dad loved fishing, hunting, playing pool and being outdoors, but one of his greatest passions was evergreens. Splitting, preparing, and selling them was something he loved, and he continued doing what he enjoyed right until his final days.

Dad shared 66 beautiful years with his loving wife, Viola. Sixty-six years of life together is something truly special - a lifetime of memories, growing together, raising a family, and standing beside one another through all that life brings. Their love and the family they built together will forever be part of his legacy.

Dad leaves behind his beloved wife Viola Parisian; his children Holly (Jake), Tony (Fran), Rob (Denise), and Missy (Del); and Michael Jarocki (Christina), his neighbour, chosen family, and son in every way that mattered. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his sister Florence.

He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Annie Parisian; his brothers Hank and Richard; his sister Shirley; and his son Dean. We take comfort in knowing that Dad is now on his journey home to the Creator.

To those who knew him, Dad will always be remembered in the everyday moments - seeing him outside working with his evergreens, visiting with neighbours, lending a hand, or simply being there.

We would like to give a very special and heartfelt thank-you to Kim Parisian. The bond the two of them shared was something truly extraordinary. She was his grandchild, but she was also his nurse, his caregiver, his advocate, and his voice when he needed one most. The love, patience, and devotion she gave her grandpa went far beyond what words can express. We will never forget the way she stood by him and cared for him, and we will always be grateful that he had her by his side.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Cancer Clinic, Pasqua Hospital, Dr. Bashir, and all the staff who cared for Dad around the clock. Thank you for the compassion, care, and kindness you showed him and our family during such a difficult time. Your efforts and support will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You have worked hard, loved deeply, and given more than you will ever know. Your time here may have ended, but your legacy will never leave us. You will forever be our Dad, forever be loved, and forever be missed.

As per Dad’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
