Alma Marie Laurin passed away on September 10, 2026 after living a fulfilling life at the age of 90.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Lucien (Lou) of 40 years; her son Joseph; her mother and father Felix and Aurore Tremblay; her sisters Yvonne, Mary (Aurore), Phillip (Omar), Theresa and her aunties Antoinette and Roseanne.

Alma was the oldest of 10 children, her and Lou had four children. Alma is survived by her children Simone (Jerry), Louise (Al), and Cecilia Madeline; daughter-in-law Linda; her siblings Rose, Alphonse, Annette, Marie and Angie; grandchildren Melanie, Crystal (Steve), Melissa (Jeff), Chris (Amy), Vanessa (Daniel), and Joey (Diana); great-grandchildren Alyssa, April, Bailey, Noah, Toni, Leo, Braelyn, Tanner, and Bree; her great-great-grandson Ezra; as well as numerous amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, many other friends and family from over the years who she will always hold a special place in everyone’s hearts that new her. She was a very devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunty and friend.

Alma helped our father start Lou’s Hauling and Moving from approximately 1974 – 1994 until our father passed away suddenly leaving the first huge loss in our family. She was very spiritual and she had found a faith that gave her strength, courage and love. She became a Jehovah’s Witness around 1964 with her hope of being able to see those she had lost to death happy and healthy again which has kept her strong all these years. Her bible was never further than her arms reach, and she always read from it daily.

Her love of others and sense of humour always brightened anyone’s day who was around her. She always made phone calls to friends and family which always made her day. She checked in with Cecilia daily, FaceTiming with Simone and she enjoyed any visits with the kids, grandkids and anyone who made the time to come visit.

She loved spending her days with her son-in-law Al who spent the most time with her other than Louise who has always taken amazing care of her all these years, she was very lucky and grateful to them for all they did all these years since she sold her and Lou’s home at good ole 1132 Queen Street. I am sure we all remember that house. Her and Al watched TV together all the time, laughing and joking around, he was always so kind to her and they became the best of friends over the years.

She also loved all her spiritual brothers and sisters and cherished them all, there were so many that have come and gone in her life, too many to mention.

Thank you, Mom, for all the love you shared with everyone, singing together, sitting on the deck and phoning, keeping in touch with all our loved ones.
