Larry Anthony Shatkowski

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Anthony Shatkowski at age 81 on November 4, 2024. Larry passed away peacefully with family by his side at PJ’s Care Home in Lumsden, SK.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Reta (Sigmeth); his daughters, Monica (Dean) Schwartz and Toni (Jeff) Duckworth; three grandchildren, Kara (Travis) Moore, Kelsey Schwartz and Drew Duckworth; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Ayden Moore; In-laws George and Dolores Riche, Steve and Bonnie Sigmeth, Pat McNally, and Randy Sigmeth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry took pride in farming for many years in the Bethune area. This led him to later work at the Canadian Western Agribition for 25 years. He loved all things John Deere and would always be wearing a cap. He enjoyed music, especially playing the accordion and listening to his favorite, ABBA.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the K+S Community Hall, Bethune, SK.

The family wishes to thank the staff at PJ’s Care Home in Lumsden for their exceptional care for Larry during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethune Cemetery or K+S Community Hall in Bethune.
