Obituaries

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden death of Joseph (Joe) Tancrede.

Joe was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and later raised in Newfoundland until the Tancrede clan moved to Regina, SK. Joe completed all his education in Regina and attended SIAST in 1991 where he achieved a certificate in electronics communication. Joe enjoyed tinkering on anything that could be taken apart and put back together; Joe just had to know how things worked. Joe found numerous friends at school and in his working years. Joe enjoyed his last and most recent job working on photocopiers and printers with his last employer at Success Office Systems. Joe was loyal to his family and his numerous friends. Joe enjoyed having an evening out playing Dungeons and Dragons with fellow adventurers. Joe’s ultimate hobby was decorating for Halloween. Joe always commented that Halloween should be a national holiday; and would even book vacation days from work to create and decorate the house, garage and yard annually only to give a thrill / or fright to those that dare.

Joe was predeceased by his eldest brother John and father Gerald. Joe leaves to mourn his mother Lillian; siblings Phyllis (Bob), David (Bill), Brian (Ivy), Laurette (Dale), Leona (Keith) and Lionel (Jeff). Joe also leaves to mourn 6 nieces, 3 nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Upon Joe’s request there will not be a funeral. The family will be holding a Private Celebration of Life for Joe later in the year.
