Joan L. Weber, late of Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, passed away August 20, 2026 at the age of 79 years. She was born December 9, 1946 to A. Carl and Elfrieda (nee Schneider) Wolfe.
In her years as a young adult, Joan became a trained secretary and worked for the government of Saskatchewan, until she married her husband Harold. Together they shared a strong faith, love, laughter, and dancing. They were committed to fostering a strong marriage and four beautiful children to whom she dedicated her days to, as a homemaker, a farmer’s wife, a mentor, and of course a loving mother.
Joan was a lady who loved deeply and cared for others with compassion and love. A family matriarch who celebrated her family and her faith. Her creative talents included a love for singing, watching her humming birds, painting and colouring, baking, gardening, playing cards and boardgames with the grandchildren. She was also lovingly known to a few, as Grandma Shrimp.
She loved visiting and enjoyed meeting new people and travelling. She was a great instructor of the birds and the bees, to many of her nieces and nephews. She volunteered her time to mentoring youth in 4-H or vacation bible school. She had a quick wit to her and she was not afraid to enjoy a good kibitz with anyone.
Predeceased by her father A. Carl Wolfe; her mother Elfrieda (nee Schneider); her brother Lorne Wolfe; husband Harold; son Cory; grandson John Power; sisters-in-law Evelyn and Eleanore.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Connie and Kathy (Archie) Weber Power; son Colin (Olivia) Weber; grandchildren Miranda, Simone and Liam; sibling Joyce Wolfe (Kent Coleman); sister-in-law Hildegard (John) Lenzen; brothers-in-law Leonard (Ruby), Ewald (Helen) and Garvin (Cora) Weber; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
