March 21, 2024
James Harold Barnard, best known as Jim or Jimbo, passed away peacefully at the age of 75, surrounded by his family on March 21, 2024.
He was a cherished husband to Joan; a father to Leah (Barry), Ryan (Jackelyn), and Mark (Amber); and a loving grandfather to Nixin, Pressli, Berkley, Oliver, and Waylon. Jim also leaves behind two children Teresa and Todd; and his siblings Ken, Chris, Grace, Ted, and Pat.
Jim dedicated 35 years to his career as a Sprinkler Fitter and later pursued his passion for driving as a Pilot Truck Driver during his retirement. His adventurous spirit led him across North America, where he formed several new friendships.
Known for his generosity, Jim was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was with woodworking, home renovations, or any "crafty" endeavor. His garage was a treasure trove of tools and supplies, always open to friends and family.
In recent years, Jim had frequent interactions with several healthcare professionals. He held deep gratitude for every staff member who cared for him, and his appreciation was boundless.
A Private Service will be held at a later date. For anyone wishing to make a memorial donation please contribute to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.

I met Jim when I was a pilot truck operator at Richards transport, we connected over the years since then. We had endless stories on oversized loads, and coffee visits along our travels.
Jim was an absolutely wonderful person with a huge heart!
He taught me so much in work and life!
You will always be remembered Jim! I hope the memories continue to live on!
Rest in Peace Jim!!
My sincere condolences to Joan and the rest of Jim’s family!

Joan, Leah, Ryan and Mark we are so sorry for your loss. While we hadn't interacted recently, Jim was a great friend to me and an ally in bettering baseball in Regina. When he saw a breakdown in the system he did his best to rectify the problem, usually dragging me along to assist. He will be surely missed.
