Obituaries

With great sadness, the family announces that Hilma “Gloria” Eveline Leflar (nee Josephson), late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 2, 2026.

Gloria was born in Radville (Brooking), SK on July 25, 1937. She married Eldon C. “Fritz” Leflar in 1955. They had 5 children and Mom dedicated her life to her kids and grandkids. They lived in Radville till 1981, then moved to Assiniboia, followed by Katepwa Beach in 2003 and then to Regina in 2015.

Gloria was the rock for the family, always making sure the kids and grandkids were well taken care of. She was a wonderful cook, baker, gardener and did beautiful handiwork leaving cherished handmade quilts for all her children and grandchildren, as well as many other handiworks.

She was involved with the Rebekah Lodge for many years, cheered for the Riders and Blue Jays, and in the last 10 years enjoyed morning coffees and evening cards with her friends at Faith Baptist Place.

She was predeceased by her parents Bertil and Bernice Josephson; husband Eldon C (Fritz) Leflar; daughter Elaine Turner; granddaughter Hannah Leflar; her brothers Delbert and David Josephson; brothers-in-law Glen and Wayne Leflar; sisters-in-law Doreen and Audrey Josephson and Lea Leflar. Gloria is survived by her children Eldon (Sharon) Leflar, Dorothy (Danny) Riviere, Barry (Shannon) Leflar and Jeff (Lore) Leflar; son-in-law Dallas (Lisa) Turner. Gloria also leaves her grandchildren Chelsea, Jacey, Evan, Rick (Tammy), Tyna, Christopher (Kylie), Kelsey (Cory), Courtney (Marshall), Alysia (Bryce), Jaden (Jenn), and Kaylen; great-grandchildren Kadence, Jarrett, Brooklyn, Danielle, Ethan and Rex. Also surviving her are her brothers Elden and Leo (Shirley) Josephson; brother-in-law Roy (Florence) Leflar; and sisters-in-law Joan Josephson, Cathy Wheten and Inez Leflar.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
