December 8, 2025

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Gordon Lipsett, late of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, on Monday December 8, 2025 at the age of 87.
He was a man that lived life to its fullest. Gordon was a businessman and proud of his family who will carry on in his footsteps. He was a farmer at heart and at his happiest was on a tractor in the hayfields and being able to still step in when family needed an extra hand and on the lawn mower doing lawns.
He told everyone in his last weeks that he has lived his life to its fullest and had no regrets and wouldn’t have changed anything. He got his wish to pass at home.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 67 years Frances; 4 children Glenn (Zoe), Esther (Wayne) Morrison, Edwin (Sandra) and Wanda (Terry) Schuba; 7 grandsons; 1 step-granddaughter and 1 step-grandson; his sister Shirley Bogdane; his brother William Lipsett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by grandson Ryan; his brother Robert; his sister Audrey Thorne; parents Johnson and Edith Lipsett.
There will be no services as per Gord’s request. A Remembrance Gathering will be held in the Spring of 2026 when weather is more favorable.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors on Palliative Care for their dedication and working to ensure his wish was granted.

Well what can I say he was the biggest teddy bear. Lots of stories and laughs. I was lucky enough to celebrate 50 and 60 years with Francis and Gordon. He lived his life his way. I am very proud to say I considered him my friend. Rest easy! My heart goes out to the entire Lipsett clan. Especially Francis sending hugs to you all.

We all miss Gordon and have missed seeing you both this season, here on Indiana Ave. in Florence. We had our Christmas cart parade last night, but decorations aren't the same on our street this year without Gordon's. He told me once that he did ALL of that decorating (which was a lot) because Fran loved it. Take care all of you and take comfort that he lived his best life.
We are always available and on call 24/7.
