November 12, 2025

George Kells passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 80 from pneumonia and kidney failure.
George was predeceased by his wife Kayla; his brother Lloyd (Carol); and parents Arthur and Ethel.
George leaves behind his son Ryan (Angela); granddaughters Tanisha, Jaycee and Eberle; great-grandson Miles and great-granddaughter Lilly; his sisters Dorothy (Bill) and Grace; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dad loved the simple life, like finding small projects to work on around the house, helping friends and family with odd jobs and watching CFL football. He always wanted the update on Eberle's ball games or finding out how our camping trips went. Dad loved the outdoors and nature. He was always one to look up a bird he may not have recognized or to comment on crops we may have passed while on road trips. Dad always seemed to have a knack with animals. Being it working with uncle Lloyd and his horses, meeting new dogs or cats or carrying a hamster in his pocket, he loved all animals and they seemed to love him. You never called him during a CFL football game as you'd never get anymore of an answer than "ahuh", "oh ya" or "sounds good" as he was always focused on the game. He was loved by everyone and will be missed by all. Love ya Dad.
George will be buried with his wife at the Semans Cemetery, Semans, Saskatchewan. As George requested no gathering will be held.

Rest in peace, George. Your "green thumb" gives many a smile, even today. The people of Qu'Appelle will remember the grapes you grew beside your garage from the seeds of grapes you bought at the store. Your gardens in Govan treated many to fresh fruit from the vine. Love you. Dorothy

Our hearts are with everyone at this time. I remember Uncle George coming to my “rescue” with a giant pot of hot water to free my tongue from a frozen car (don’t lick metal kids!) when I was small. I saw it coming and pulled myself free before he chucked it! He always had a twinkle in his eye, a mischievous smirk and something to tease us about. I also remember him holding my kids when they were small and talking to them and they would hang on every word of his gentle voice. We wish him peace now and send our love to Ryan, Angie and kids. - Ann Shane Chase & Paige
Our deepest condolences to all on George’s passing. I remember him as being quiet and kind, and always a cowboy. 💙
We are always available and on call 24/7.
