On behalf of SK Arts, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Gail’s family, friends and colleagues during this time of healing and reflection on her life.
Speaking personally, I have known Gail for many years. She was with Saskatchewan Express where I started my career in the arts as a performer many years ago. Her dedication was apparent then, and I’m sure that carried through during the years following in her professional career with the Government of Saskatchewan in various roles. Not long ago, Gail gave me a couple of binders of material, records and memorabilia that she had collected during her time with Saskatchewan Express. Those brought back many fond memories of people who I am still friends with today.
When I returned to Regina after being abroad for several years and applied for a position with SK Arts, I wasn’t surprised to find Gail as a prominent staff member of the organization. Her dedication hadn’t wavered during her tenure and her contributions over the years have helped the organization achieve its goals and I’m sure assisted in its survival through many challenging times. She played a significant role in the development of key activities with SK Arts that have had and continue to have significant impact for the arts community across the province, specifically for the Indigenous peoples. Her wit, experiences and knowledge will be greatly missed. Rest easy, Gail.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Shawn, Holly, Jeff , Dianne , Carter , Caelin, Wyatt & Zack with the passing of their gracious Mother / Grandmother .

Sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Gail through her longtime friendship with my sister, Bev Silverman. She was a good friend and will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Gail’s family. She was my friend since grade 3. We shared laughter and sorrow. We went on a road trip to her mountains and had a marvelous time. Styling her lovely hair was such a privilege. Although age and poor health separated us in our later years, my memories will live on. Rest in peace my friend.
We are always available and on call 24/7.
