August 29, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank McDonald on August 29, 2026 at the age of 90.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Ruby and Malcolm McDonald.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Frieda; his three sons Terry (Della), Darcy, and Dale (Debbie); his surviving sister Jean (Larry); and the light he brought to the lives of his grandchildren Breanne (Brody), Derek, Shelby (Tom), and Ashley. Frank was also the proud great-grandfather of Tallon, Harper, and Rylee; along with numerous relatives who will carry his memory forward.
Frank’s presence brought laughter to every room. He had a funny personality and a way of making people feel at ease - often with a quick wit or a story that lingered long after he was done speaking. Above all, he loved his family deeply. His devotion showed in the way he cared, the way he listened, and the way he always made time for the people he loved.
Frank also had a special place in his heart for his teams - the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Toronto Blue Jays. Whether he was cheering them on or sharing his passion, they were just another way he connected to the things he loved.
We are forever grateful for the excellent care and support Frank received from the staff at the Regina Pasqua Hospital Emergency Department and the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic. A special thank you as well to the staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, unit 2–5, who went above and beyond in caring for Frank in his last days.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Frank will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his family, his friends, and everyone whose life he made brighter with humour, kindness, and love.
We are always available and on call 24/7.
