March 13, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Doug, who departed this world on March 13, 2026 in the comforting surroundings of his own home.
Born on May 6, 1960, in the bustling and vibrant community of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Doug lived a life that touched countless hearts and left a lasting impression on everyone that was fortunate to have known him. Doug was a man of boundless kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever he could. He forged a unique career path, embodying a spirit of an entrepreneur. As a self-employed professional, Doug’s work spanned numerous fields including renovations, landscaping, tree cutting, and painting as well as others. His dedication to his work and the people he served was evident in every project, each job done with meticulous care and the unmistakable touch of what was affectionately called the “Dougie” way.
Beyond his professional achievements, Doug cherished the simple joys of life, finding delight in sharing a cold beer and catching up with friends old and new. His love for music resonated deeply, providing the soundtrack to countless treasured memories. Doug was an avid cook, he took great pleasure in creating meals for others, knowing food has the power to bring people together in love and laughter.
Doug is survived by his partner Brenda; his son Derek (Elyse); daughters Jenny and Chloe. Doug was also a proud grandfather of his two grandchildren Alexsis and Hailey who brought immense joy to his life and will carry forward his legacy of kindness and warmth. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
In keeping with Doug’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held to honor his spirit and joy for life. While the celebration will be intimate, we invite all who knew Doug to remember him with fondness and gratitude. May his legacy remind us to embrace life with the same generosity and joy that he did, and may his memory forever be a guiding light in our hearts.
Rest in Peace, Doug. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
