Doreen Mae Cull (nee Gust)

Doreen Mae Cull (nee Gust), late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Wascana Rehabilitation Hospice on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the age of 81 years. In her final days she was surrounded by family and those who loved her and by the love of all those who knew her.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents George and Elsie Gust and partner Wilfred Easterby.

She is survived by her children Angela (Dave), Daryl, Lorna (John) and Chad (Michelle); grandchildren Jessica (Chris), Gina, Brodi (Charlene), Dalton and Jade; great-grandchildren Cami, Sloane, Miller, Emmatt and William. She is also survived by her brothers Melvin (Norma) Gust and Larry (Linda) Gust and nieces, nephews and friends.

Doreen was born on February 21, 1943 in Ceylon, Saskatchewan and lived there until grade 12 graduation before moving to Regina, Saskatchewan. She had a variety of jobs and retired from Sears Parts Department. She loved dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, gardening – especially flowers, flowerbeds, flower pots, anything with flowers. She also enjoyed taking photos and playing solitaire. The great-grandchildren would entertain her and make her laugh and smile to no end, she always enjoyed their visits.

Doreen will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her and she will be missed more than anybody could possibly imagine.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
