Keenan-Toth, Donna

August 7, 2024

Donna Keenan-Toth

Donna Keenan-Toth was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 21, 1963. In the early morning of August 7, 2024, she passed away in the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 60. She was a beloved mother to her son Connor and daughter Kirrah; cherished mother-in-law to Kristen and Damon; and a doting grandma to Josie. Donna is also survived by her loving mother Marjorie.

Donna’s passing has left an indelible void in the hearts of those who knew her. She had a way that made people around her feel heard and cared for.

Donna had a long battle with health issues and was a fighter even until the end. She is no longer suffering and is at peace. She spent a little over the last year of her life at Sunset Extendicare where she made great friends. Donna’s life revolved around family. Marjorie and Donna had a special bond as mother and daughter; and supported each other through it all. Donna was an amazing Mom to Connor and Kirrah. She embodied great motherhood qualities: unconditional love, patience, selflessness, and supportiveness. Josie will be reminded forever how much her grandma loves her.

Thank you Mom for making every day feel magical and special. You will be missed beyond words. We love you.

Upon Donna’s request, no funeral service will be held. Thank you to Sunset Extendicare, Intensive Care Unit, and Palliative Care Unit for taking care of Donna.

Connor and Kirrah, I was sad to read about your Mom's passing. Whenever I ran into your Mom, she always had a smile and time for a quick chat. No matter what the event, she was always willing and able to help at the school, anything for you kids. She was a special lady and will be missed dearly. May she rest in peace. We were very saddened to hear of Donna's passing. Condolences Marj, Connor, Kirrah and family. Donna was such a great person. So caring and a good friend to all who know her. I worked with Donna for many years and will never forget the laughs and good talks that we shared.
Donna loved her kids, always put them first and wanted only the best for them. She really did make birthdays and holidays the best fun for them. She really provided great memories for everyone who knew her.
Donna, rest easy now, no more troubles and I know you will continue guiding your family in spirit and memories.

We miss you so much mom. We were so lucky to have you for as long as we did. You made every day amazing. Our birthdays consisted of you decorating our entire room while we slept so we woke up to excitement and happiness, making coloured pancakes that spelt out our names, and the warmest smile wishing us happy birthday. Every holiday was to the most extreme just to make us happy. Any other typical day was made to be new parks to play on, science center days, or just having a blast in the back yard. You always knew exactly what to say to make us feel better when we needed our mom. Life wasn’t fair to you but you always stayed positive. My wedding won’t be the same without you and you will be thought about throughout it all. Thank you for 28 years of wonderful memories. Watch over us please. We love you so much.

Condolences to Donna’s family. I knew Donna for years riding the bus with her and sharing many stories, trials and tribulations of everyday life. She was always very pleasant and cheerful and I will always remember that about her. Rest in Peace Donna. Thinking of all of the family at this time

It is so true that Donna had a way of having people around her feel heard. When I would come home to Regina, Donna would just delight in asking me about all my travels and experiences. She was so morally supportive. Never judged but always felt so excited for me.

Donna may have lost mobility these past years on earth, but I have no doubt that now, with her angel wings, they will carry her wherever she may want to go. Maybe it will be to some of the travel destinations she was so inquisitive about in our chats, but mostly, I know it will be right back to Regina to watch over Connor and Kirrah, her Mom, and those that meant so much to her.

Gone but not forgotten. RIP, my dear sis-in-law.
