My deepest sympathies to you, cousins Kent, Kim and Kathy on the loss of your dear mama. To me she was Auntie Dea. Her twinkling eyes, sparkling laugh and effortless elegance made such an impression on young me that I named my prized Newborn Baby Tenderlove after her. All these years later, I remember her laugh like I heard it yesterday and think of her - and you all - so fondly. Much love to you and your families.

I feel very fortunate to have had sweet Dea Johns as my aunt. Although we lived in different provinces and I didn't get to see her regularly growing up, I can vividly remember her sparkling smile and laugh that lit up the whole room. She was such a sweet soul, full of warmth and a vibrant but calming energy. She made everyone she was speaking to feel important and respected. I was always happy when I heard that Aunt Dea was going to be at Grandma and Grandpa's :) Shine on, Aunt Dea.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dea through the working relationship between Credit Union Central and CUMIS. She was such a classy lady and had a personality that shined. She always had a smile for everyone. I was glad we had the opportunity to connect these last few years at the grocery store and we talked and talked and talked. My sincere condolences to her family. RIP Dea. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Dear Kent and Laurie, Kim and Francis and Kathy. To me, your Mom was the most Amazing person I’ve ever met. We had so much in common. Going to thrift stores and delighting in the treasures we found. We watched politics - Canadian and American. We loved to determine who would win. We would get together and watch late into the night until a winner was determined. We were always right! Was so exciting! We led similar lives throughout our marriages and were solid friends. We shared the same beliefs as to how lives unfolded. We completely believed in a man by the name of Edgar Cayce. If you get the chance read the book called ‘Many Mansions’. This made us both happy with any situation that crossed our paths. We will all live again and what we do with our lives now certainly affects the life we will experience next on this earth. Dea will be back to something wonderful. I love her, she was my Rock and my best friend! I pray for a fantastic life ahead of her!💕

To Kent, Kim, Kathy and your families. We offer you our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mother and grandmother & my former co-worker, Dea.
Dea was a wonderful co-worker at CUMIS Insurance, who was also very much appreciated for her excellent service by the province's credit unions.
The following passage has comforted us since the death of our dear daughter Corinna in 2020. " Death leaves a heartache no-one can heal" Love leaves a memory no-one can steal!".
RIP Dea
