It is with great sadness that the family of Daryl Wayne Smith announce his passing after a short illness on March 10, 2024 at the age of 82 years.
Daryl was predeceased by his parents Vern and Ruby Smith. He is forever loved and remembered by the love of his life and wife of 59 years Phyllis Marie Smith; his three beloved sons Bradley Michael (Michele), Scott Allan (Malinda), and Darcey Wayne; grandchildren Sydney, Noah, Marina, Taylor, and Maggie; his sisters Marilyn (Ron) Neuert and Caron (Barry) Calon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; special mention to brother-in-law Daryl (Teresa) Gutfriend and family, and brother-in-law Charles Gutfriend.
Daryl was an avid Rider fan. He loved the outdoors, camping, waterskiing, and golfing. Daryl had a great sense of humor and had a contagious smile.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina Saskatchewan.
On behalf of the entire Smith family, please accept our deepest thank you for your love and support during this difficult time. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Regina General Hospital Units 6F and 6A. Special thank you to Dr. Suzanne Meiers for her care and belief in Daryl.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Daryl’s memory may be made to The Elk and Royal Purple Fund for Children, which supports juvenile hearing loss.
