It is with great love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Diane Romanow (nee Storzuk) on November 1, 2025 at the age of 80.
Darlene was born on March 13, 1945 on the family farm NE16-30-15 W2 in Wishart, SK.
She is survived by her only daughter and best friend Andrea Romanow; sons Todd (Kathy) Romanow and Kelly (Stacey) Romanow; grandchildren Nick Romanow (Maggie), Morgan (Justin) Moore, Kara Romanow (Arvy) and Tom Romanow (Noelle); great-grandson Arthur Romanow Moore; her sister Elaine (Ross) Perry and her brother Wayne (Deb) Storozuk; sisters-in-law Sandra Storzuk, Olive Kotylak, and Kathy Lewko.
Darlene was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Romanow; parents Nick and Jennie Storozuk; parents-in-law Steve and Daisy Romanow; her brother Sly Storzuk; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Connie (Mike) Shmigelsky, Alex (Stella) Romanow, Elaine (Barry) Brown, and Betty (Joe) Blum; brothers-in-law Ron Romanow, Fred Lewko and Joe Kotylak.
Darlene dearly loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She enjoyed everything life on the farm had to offer from farming, gardening to her beautiful flowers. Her unwavering faith, Ukrainian culture and generosity was woven into her everyday life along with many memories of card games, dancing and laughter with friends.
Darlene and Edward enjoyed 47 years of marriage together and our hearts are warmed knowing they are now reunited.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK with Fr. Vasyl Tymishak officiating. Livestream will be available at: www.facebook.com/reginaukrainiancatholicnorth/ Private family interment in Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Candiac, SK.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene’s memory can be made to St. Athanasius Memorial Fund, Regina, SK or Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Candiac, SK.
