December 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dale Leslie Heintz on December 2, 2025 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 66.
Dale was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on September 16, 1959. His family moved around until 1963 where they began a life of farming and running the telephone office in Major, Saskatchewan. In high school he enjoyed football, curling, track and the 4-H Gun Club. Dale moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan shortly after graduation to pursue University. After one semester he decided it was not for him and joined the workforce.
Dale ended up in Regina where he met and married Patricia Jean Short of Candiac, Saskatchewan. In 1987, he started a long and fulfilling career at the Co-op Refinery as a Process Operator and later, a Process Shift Supervisor, until his retirement in 2018.
He was predeceased by his mother Faye Heintz; his brothers Randy Heintz and Ken Heintz; niece Andrea Heintz and parents-in-law Allan and Jean Short.
Dale leaves to cherish his memory his former wife Pat Heintz, with whom he remained a close friend; his daughters Ashlyn (Mark) and Madison; granddaughter Halistyn; his father Leslie of Calgary, AB; his brother Terry (Lenora) of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Carol (Vern) Ripplinger of Kendal, SK; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his best buddy, his dog Ryder, who was always by his side.
Dale was an extremely hard-working, quiet man. He remodelled his house (twice), his daughters house, built his man cave garage and a playhouse for his girls, and will forever be known as Mr. Fix-It. Dad was just a phone call away for any new project or question. He was a simple man who loved a game of cards or backgammon, an ice-cold Pilsner, the Rider game, a new joke and a barbequed steak โ and he shared each of these with the people he loved most.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in The Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan. Please come casually dressed or in Rider gear. A Private Family Interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale's memory may be made to CC RezQ's Regina Dog Rescue.
