May 12, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Crystal Ott (nee Huber), late of Regina, Saskatchewan on May 12, 2025 at the age of 45, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She fought hard to make it for one more Mother's Day and passed away peacefully with family by her side the following morning. A beloved wife, mother and friend. Crystal lived her life with passion, pride for her family and home, and always made time for her close friends and extended family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years Jarod; children Haley and Jayden; mother Brenda Huber; her brother Jason (Amber); nephews Kade and Mason; father-in-law Bernie; mother-in-law Tracy (Ken Hiebert); stepbrothers and sisters Justin McRedmond, Tiana McRedmond, Logan Hiebert, Sabrina Strix, Dylan Hiebert, Michaella Lessmeister and their families; sister-in-law Jenelle Ott; as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Crystal was predeceased by her father Randy Huber and her grandparents.
Crystal was the true matriarch of the family. Nothing brought her more joy than caring for her family. She had a zest for life and could often be found on a beach in Mexico, or the summers in Craven surrounded by friends and family having a great time. She had such a big heart and always an open ear, which meant so much to her closest friends, nail clients and those who knew her from her salon and Bootlegger days. She was a conversationalist and always had a way of making those around her feel heard and important.
Although Crystal’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her empathetic spirit and beautiful nature will continue to inspire and uplift us all as we navigate our way through our grief.
The family expresses their gratitude to staff and doctors at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Regina Pasqua Hospital.
Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2025. Details will be provided at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to learn of Crystal's passing. I worked with Crystal at Bootlegger for a number of years, and I will always remember her smile, and positivity. Crystal was a perfectionist when it came to her store, and like many things she took enormous pride both in her store (merchandising) and her team who adored her. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sending prayers to Jarrod and family during this very difficult 🙏 ❤️

Our condolences. Crystal was a beautiful woman. Every time we talked her first question was always how are we doing. Her care and concern for others always came through, she always minimized her fight because she didn't want others to feel like she needed help or have to worry about her. Most of all her love for her Jarrod and the kids showed. She spoke with so much pride. She will be greatly missed.
We are always available and on call 24/7.
