November 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clemence Hoffart (Tessier). She passed away peacefully at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Regina, SK on November 4, 2025 at the age of 97.
Clemence was born in Radville, SK on June 2, 1928 to Ernest and Bertha Tessier. She was raised on the family farm south of Minton, SK along with her 12 siblings. As the oldest daughter, she often helped care for her younger siblings. She could be found milking cows, baking, or helping in other areas of the home.
She married Peter Hoffart on April 2, 1951. Together they raised their five children Gerald, Dianne, Theresa, Janie, and Eileen.
Clemence and Peter farmed in the Minton area until 1974. They moved to Estevan, SK with Janie and Eileen, where they lived for 25 years. They eventually enjoyed their retirement there, including the many visits from their children and 12 grandchildren.
Clemence could often be found baking and scolding Peter for his many tricks and jokes. The grandkids always knew where to find the cookies. She would often sew and crochet for her family.
Clemence and Peter later moved to Balcarres, SK until Peter passed away in 2008. Clemence then moved to Regina to be closer to family. She enjoyed colouring, puzzles, playing Bingo, and her many visitors. She loved to go for lunch or breakfast, especially to Smitty’s.
Clemence will be greatly missed by those she has left behind. She is survived by her children Gerald (Susie) Hoffart, Dianne (Alex) Patterson, Theresa (Dan) Grant, Janie (Wayne) Kjersem, and Eileen Charest; her grandchildren Stacy, Shauna (Brian), Jennie (Eric), Kerri (Greg), Jarett (Mandy), Krystal (Ben), Chad (Amanda), Joshua (Laura), Zachary, Allissa (Simon), and Michele (Josh); along with 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Simone); her sisters Pauline, May, Marion, and Lena; brother-in-law Ralph and sisters-in-law Jeannine, Josie, and Stella.
Clemence was predeceased by her loving husband Peter; two infant sons Joseph and Wayne; her parents Ernest and Bertha Tessier; in-laws Frank and Katharina Hoffart; son-in-law Daniel Charest; granddaughter Shelley Hoffart; great-grandson Kayde Kjemhus; and many of her siblings and their spouses.
Funeral Mass for Clemence will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5020 - 7th Avenue, Regina, SK. Livestream will be available at: www.youtube.com/@StCeciliaChurchRegina/streams. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. in Chapel Grove Cemetery, Minton, SK.
