November 21, 2025

On Friday, November 21, 2025, after a long illness, Blair passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 65.
Blair is survived by his wife Sharon; stepdaughters Patti (Brett) Buddecke and Amanda (Kellen) Selensky; six grandchildren Kaelab, Abby, Haylee, Andrew, Ryeleigh, and Cayden; his brother Kevin (Jeannette); his sisters Dawn and Marcia; mother-in-law Isabelle Mayer; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Lois; brother-in-law Lyle Cote; nephew Darrel Cote; great-niece Kressley; and his father-in-law Mike Mayer.
Blair was a very kind and gentle man. He loved watching football and hockey. In the warmer months, you would find him putzing around the yard or sitting on the deck. He adored his grandchildren and they adored him. He will always be their Poppa.
Blair will be laid to rest in a Graveside Service later in the Spring of 2026.
We would like to thank all our family and friends for their support over the last few years. We would also like to thank EMS, the staff in the ER at the Regina Pasqua Hospital and on the units along with home care. A special mention to the Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. The care and compassion they showed was exceptional.

We are so sorry to hear of Blair’s passing. He was a great guy. Brent enjoyed working with him at the lumber yard in Carlyle for over ten years. We both have wonderful memories of our friendship. And we will never forget Ron Paul trying to give him a hug. He’s not a hugger of men! lol.
