April 25, 2024

Alphonse Joseph Schoenthal

Alphonse Joseph Schoenthal was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He passed away peacefully in his home with his two daughters and son by his side on April 25, 2024 at the age of 80.

Alphonse is survived by his son Fabian (Tasha) Schoenthal; daughters Chris Schoenthal and Jody (Calvin) Kaiswatum; his brother Ron Schoenthal; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Al was as well loved by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

Al was predeceased by his parents Orval (Marie Lavallee) Schoenthal; his five older siblings Orval, Fred, Roy, Walter and Lloyd; his son Roy Schoenthal and his grandson Anthony Schoenthal.

Alphonse was a great man. He was a kind, loving, a say it how it is straight shooter type of guy. He loved his children with all his heart. He took on the single father role when his children were very young until they became adults.

His love for the outdoors was tremendous! He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He loved a good game of pool and later in his years he enjoyed bingo. He also enjoyed spending time with his brother!

Alphonse has begun his journey to be reunited with all his family who have passed before him.

We would like to thank the home care nurses.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at his home at 206 Lloyd Crescent, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Later in June of 2024 there will be a Fishing and BBQ Celebration of Life followed by his interment a few days later in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, Saskatchewan.
