It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ah-Moi (Molly) Terry. In her final days Molly was surrounded by love and passed peacefully when her body was ready to rest, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured forever. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is at peace and back in the arms of those she loved.
Molly was born in Johor, Malaysia in 1947. In her early years in Malaysia, she worked in office as a secretary until she retired. In search of new opportunities, she immigrated to Canada April 29th, 1999 to begin her life with her late husband Jim. They would form a life here that was comfortable and enriched with traveling and culture. Molly was the definition of resilience. Throughout life's challenges, she faced each one with quiet strength and determination. She taught those around her perseverance and loving others wholeheartedly. Her legacy is not only in lessons she taught, but in the lives she touched.
Molly was predeceased by her Mother Poh Kian Tay, Father Peng Khwee Ong, two sisters and late husband Jim Terry. She is survived by her Son-in-law Stuart Terry, Daughter-in-law Terra Albert; Grandchildren Natalie Albert (Patrick), Addyson Terry, Presley Fellner and Steivyn Fellner; as well as her brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews in Malaysia.
Molly will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. We will honour her by loving one another the way she loved us - with patience, compassion and an open heart. She will remain in our hearts forever.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
