Aaron Arthur Short

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Aaron Arthur Short. Aaron passed away on November 1, 2025 at the age of 40 in Fillmore, Saskatchewan.

Aaron is survived by his mother Sandra (Kelly) Connelly; father Ken (Fermina) Short; his brothers Jason Short, Jeramie (Heidi) Short and Chris (Naté) Short; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Aaron loved dirt bikes, skidoos and auto mechanics. He also loved raiding his mom’s fridge when possible and spending time with his friends. Always optimistic, he had a zest for life like no other. Ultimately, his best love was for his service dog Zues.

Aaron will be dearly missed by his many friends and family and all those whose hearts were touched by his laughter and generosity.

A heartfelt thanks to all those who offered their love and support during this time. In lieu of flowers and cards, consider a memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association Saskatchewan or share a memory of Aaron with friends and family.

Celebration of Aaron's Life for friends and family will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fillmore Town Hall, Fillmore, SK. Please RSVP by November 20, 2025 at spiceforlife33@gmail.com if planning to attend.

I hope you are pain free and enjoying afterlife my friend. You were the kindest person I’ve met considering your circumstances. I will never go into my garage again without thinking of the times we spent messing around trying to fix things. I appreciate the time and effort you put into our friendship. My deepest sympathy goes out to Sandra, Jason and Jaramie in Aaron's passing. I have so many memories of watching him grow up. I always remembered Aaron being a dynamic little happy burst of energy. Even despite the medical issues he faced these past few years, he remained positive and always had a smile every time I saw him.

May he spend an eternity in paradise. He will be sorely missed.
