William Slobodian

William passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023.

Born in Whitebeech, SK, he spent his childhood on the family farm. He attended St. Joseph School in Yorkton, SK before moving to Regina, SK. His working years consisted at the Bank of Canada, Regina; Bank of Canada, Toronto, ON; Union Oil, Calgary, AB; and Water Group, Regina where he was a partner. Will never did retire as he spent his days stock trading and watching the business channel until his death.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Magdalena; his brothers Peter, Frank and Ozzie. Will is survived by his wife of 57 years Breta; son Jason (Gretel, Manny, Storm); grandson Eli whom he called the best grandson ever and his best friend; sisters-in-law Joyce and Sylvia; his brothers Paul (Natalie) of Fort McMurray, AB, Julian (Shirley) of Mikado, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

William enjoyed life. Will had many interests including an extensive music collection he created himself. He was very handy and was always willing to lend a hand with whatever needed fixing. He enjoyed traveling and spending time in Arizona, USA. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to learn. He always put his family first, needing very little for himself. Eli and Grandpa had many adventures, camping, day trips, holidays and conversations. He was a lifelong Saskatchewan Roughrider and Montreal Canadien fan.

At his request there will be no funeral service. A private interment will be held at a later date. Thank you to the nurses and staff at Grace Hospice for their compassion and care and Almassy Metz Funeral & Cremation Services. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
