Walter Schneider, 85 years young
On September 5th, 2023 Walt was surrounded by his family when he passed away peacefully. He is off to join his wife Audie, son Perry, and parents John and Ruth. He leaves behind his two daughters Joy Barth (Gene) and Pam Paquet (Bert); grandchildren Kyle Barth (Robin), Kayli Barth (Matt), Brett Schneider, and two great-grandchildren Levi and Vaya.
Walt had a successful and impressive accounting career and retired at the age of 49 years old. He shared his expertise at Saskatchewan Continuing Education and helped build the student loan program. He started his young career as a clerk after attending Wascana School of Business. His resume included time being an auditor and executive director.
Walt was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with family and friends. He loved the Murray Golf Course and was instrumental in managing the men’s club and keeping their books in perfect order.
Anyone who spent time with Walt enjoyed his quick wit and wonderful sense of humour.
A private celebration of life will be held in October/2023.

I met Walter at SIAST, worked with him and gained a deep respect for him as a person and a friend. I went golfing with him at the Murray and he was a very good golfer who took the game seriously. His smile would light up a room during our meetings. A fine gentleman and caring family man. Rest in Peace Wally.

Sorry for your loss Joy and Pam and your families. My career allowed me the pleasure of working with two generations of Schneider’s. The work ethics and advice he passed along served us all very well. His sense of humour and kindness are treasured memories we will keep in our hearts forever. Wishing you peace. RA

Dear Joy, Pam and families,
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. He was a great neighbor; kind and funny. It meant so much to us when he came to our Dad's funeral after not seeing him in many years. We have fond memories of him from McIntosh Street. Our caring thoughts are with all of you.

So sorry to hear about Walter. He was a great neighbour to our daughter and he helped her out a lot. Having a nice cold one and small talk about their fur babies they enjoyed together. Walter will be missed by all who knew him
