With saddened hearts we say goodbye to our brother, friend and son Steven Uren. Steve passed away suddenly and peacefully at the age of 51 on October 25, 2024.
Steve is survived by his mother, Kathryn Uren; his sister Jennifer Hill (John), his brother John Uren; nieces Rachel, and Ashley and nephew Josh. Steve is also remembered by the team at Linde Canada Inc. and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Gordon Uren.
Steve will be remembered for his infectious laugh and booming voice. His love of food was well known and well appreciated. He enjoyed people and took the time to have conversations with the ones he met. He loved his music and he loved it loud. However, he also loved animals and always had a loyal dog and cat. He will truly be missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life open to friends and family on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Western Pizza, 2430 - 9th Avenue North, Regina, SK from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Dear Uren family. My sincere condolences. I played football with Steve for a few years at U of M. Loved hanging out with him and playing ball with him. A man who was true to his convictions and literally un-blockable when he was fired up. When he was in charge of the music in the dressing room you were in for a treat of listening to either AC/DC, WASP, or Ratt. RIP Steve.

Life goes by so quickly and unexpectedly life travesty’s occur while you’re still planning to visit with one another and we regret that you did not have the opportunity. Your celebration of life for Stephen at a pizza restaurant seems so appropriate. It would be great to see you all sometime in the near future. Once again, our sincere condolences to your family. I played several years of football with Steve and spent many hours smashing helmets with him. I know that you made me better because of it, and I certainly hope I was able to do the same for you.
Steve was always a lot of fun, and had a different outlook on life and the world. Vaya con dios my friend, until we meet again in football Valhalla.

Steve was a neighbour and childhood friend of my sons. I fondly remember him as a child playing in our neighborhood. After he became an adult he was a source of laughter and his good nature and love of animals shown through. Thoughts of sadness and happy memories are shared with all the Uren family at this difficult time. RIP Steven!

He was one of my best friends, and I can say for sure that he and I had a massively close bond. Over the years, we saw each other through a bunch of life BS. Family tragedies, family celebrations, pets coming and pets going. (I have rarely seen a man that large turn into a puddle so quick over animals). We shared fun work experiences together all over Saskatchewan when we were pipefitting, and it was hilarious to hear about his adventures when we weren’t on the same job site.
My condolences go out to his family, his friends, and anyone else who shared in the fun of getting to know him. He was certainly his own person, and I respected him for it.
That being said, I will agree on his love for food, and he did ultimately find all the good deals and places to dine.
THAT being said, he did recommend to me that the T-bone steak at Ponderosa steakhouse was the best steak in Regina…….nuff said?

My sincere condolences to the whole Uren family. I met Steve in 99, back in his football days. He was a total character, and the days in the gym and Wiseguys downtown will never be forgotten. RIP Steve.

Played a few years of football with this beauty at Manitoba. He was a real beauty, an original and had some good times and laughs with him. RIP Steve, now you can run around wherever you are with a coat hangar taped on your helmet during any lightning storm.
