Lausch, Sandra Dee

March 18, 2023

Sandra Dee Lausch

It is with deepest sadness that the family of Sandra Lausch, late of Pilot Butte, SK, announce her passing on March 18, 2023 in Regina, SK of cancer at the age of 62.

Sandra was born in Lampman, SK to Art and Audrey Lausch. Sandra is survived by her daughter Natalie Radons of Regina and by her son Mitchell (Cassandra) Radons and granddaughter Mia of Saskatoon, SK. Sandra is also survived by her brother Arthur (Rebecca) Lausch of Tatamagoughe, NS; nieces Keely (Mark Julius) Lausch of Calgary, AB, Sara Lausch of Halifax, NS and Arden (Patrick) Lausch of Halifax. She is also survived by her aunts Diane Dobie of Courtenay, BC, Sharon Dengler of Calgary, AB and Joyce Lausch of Regina; cousins Carla Hoffort, Bob (Yvonne) Lausch, Debra Lausch, Laurie Dengler, Aaron (Kathleen) Dengler, Michelle (Nathan) Ralph; stepfather Wes Harrison and his children; and also Sandra's cats Rocky and Walter.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents Art Lausch and Audrey Jean (nee Jesse) Lausch Harrison; aunts and uncles Ed and Audrey Lausch, Len Lausch and Jim Dobie; grandparents Tola and Herman Lausch and Reynold and Yvette Jesse; and cousins Brian Lausch and Duane Lennie.

Sandra was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and friend. The recent arrival of granddaughter Mia brought special joy. She loved to travel, visiting family and friends across the country and enjoying more exotic vacations abroad, often in the company of various family members. Sandra had a love of water, growing up at the Lampman Pool and later, spending many hours water skiing and fishing. Camping with the kids and hauling them to their many activities, while working and taking classes to advance her 38 year career at Sask Energy, filled her days. She loved a good concert, a spa weekend with friends and an evening around the fire pit with neighbours. When she had a spare minute, she could often be found in her garden or relaxing on her porch swing with a book in hand.

Please join in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 3018 Doan Drive, Regina, SK.

Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Sandra’s memory may be made to the Bread of Life Lutheran Church or Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.

Sandra was one of a group of wonderful girls that befriended me when I moved to Lampman for a year of school. We tried to keep in touch over the years, always counting on seeing each other at our class reunions. The last time I saw Sandra was at our 40 Year reunion in June of 2019. It was lovely to catch up with her, she was so proud of her children. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. Sandra will be missed.

So shocked to read of Sandra’s passing; whether spending time with her on breaks or finding things to giggle about while working together, I always enjoyed spending time around her. Sharing stories and laughter over a beer was something I’d hoped to do with her again, and I’ll miss her infectious grin and good humour. Deepest sympathy to Natalie and Mitchell; you’ve always meant everything to her.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I often chatted with Sandra in the halls of work or during our lunch breaks / outdoor walks and we had the occasion to bond when we took some safety training together. It was fun to share travel stories with each other. I will miss her friendly, positive spirit.
