Left to cherish his memory are his children: daughter Shelly Genert, granddaughter Crystal (Greg) Davis, great-granddaughter Kylar Davis, grandson Mark Genert (Eva Madar), great-granddaughter Mia Genert, grandson Jesse Genert; daughter Becky (Glen) Smith and Glen's daughters Lindsay, Michele and Laura; daughter Renda (Russ) Boschee, granddaughter Reanna (Dean) Koob, granddaughter Raelene (Justin) Archibald, great-grandson Jack Archibald, grandson Randen Boschee (Elise McJannet); and Danny (Cindy) Meier, who was like a son to both Sunny and Lynda. Sunny also leaves to remember him: his brothers Frank (Lynn) Barroby, Harold (Sandra) Barroby, Ralph (Janine) Barroby and Larry (Pat) Barroby; his sisters Laura Mae (LeVern) Bowles, Sylvia Bowles, Marion (Richard) Fischer, Shirley (Charlie) Richardson, Susan (Lance) Terry and Sharon (Dennis) Grunwald; sisters-in law Judy Powroznik and Wendy Lund; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sunny was born to Roy and Eva Barroby on March 31, 1940 and was the eldest of twelve children. His formative years were spent on the farm near Ravenscrag, Saskatchewan before moving to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to work at Cypress Motors Autobody. He established his own business “Sunny's Autobody Ltd” in Maple Creek and ran “the shop” until he retired in 2005 when his daughter and son-in-law Shelly and Brad took over the business. He also owned a Datsun Dealership and service station for many years in Maple Creek. Sunny was also a rancher and a full-time cowboy for all of his life. His love for animals was immeasurable, especially his cat Slash and companion dog Rio. Sunny and Lynda spent numerous winters in Yuma, Arizona and were blessed to be able to travel to many places although the best memories were probably made in the Cypress Hills as the family gathered at the cabin to spend the summer. Sunny's family was very important to him and he was proud of all of them.

Sunny was a Life Member of the Kinsmen Club of Maple Creek where he held many executive positions including President; along with Deputy Governor for the Province of Saskatchewan. Community was very important to him and the Kinsmen Club allowed him to give back to the community through many hours of volunteer work. The many friendships that were made during his life were enduring and he always spoke of his friends kindly. He also had many stories to share: some were shocking, some were surprising, some were enlightening and some were very informative. These stories were always entertaining!

Sunny will be forever loved and dearly missed by his family and friends although we are certain that he is celebrating a momentous reunion with loved ones that have gone home before him.

Memorial donations in Sunny's name may be made to the Maple Creek Swimming Pool Fund c/o The Town of Maple Creek, 205 Jasper Street, Maple Creek, SK S0N 1N0 or to an Animal Charity of your choice.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Met Sunny in the early 60's when I and my family were posted to Maple Creek. Got to know him and his tow truck well. Had many laughs in Kinsmen and throughout the years that followed we were in contact many times by telephone, visits with him and Lynda at their home at Cypress Park and his friendship was highly valued. I will miss our visits and send my sincere condolences to all in his family. Rest in Peace Sunny.
