It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Myles Wood on November 8, 2025 at the age of 77 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born on March 31, 1948 in Lipton, Saskatchewan to Alfred and Elizabeth (nee Heisler) Wood.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Elizabeth; his first wife Marilyn (nee Murray); his brother-in-law Raymond Carlberg; and his great-grandson Felix Wood.

He is survived by his siblings Raye Wood, Collette Carlberg, and Janice (Bevin) Smith; his wife Beverley (nee Freestone); children Kelly (Darin) Sandor, Chad (Amy) Wood, Candi (Sean) Wood, and Amber (Bryan) Lenz; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was a hardworking man who was devoted to family. He loved animals and could often be heard talking passionately about his fish. His strength, humour and love for family will be deeply missed.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral. However, a Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at a later date.
