Robert was born on May 27, 1931 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan. He accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour at a young age. He farmed with his father Noble Chute in Nokomis until he met and married Erma Martens in 1960. They raised their four daughters in Nokomis until they moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1978. He then worked for Hobart as an appliance repairman. After he retired, they enjoyed travelling, camping and family time. A big part of Robert's life was his love of music and ability to play many instruments. He passed this love of music onto many of his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered as the sweet and gentle grandpa. Dad was a great example of Christian testimony to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His desire was that they would all come to know Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
