Obituaries

Rick peacefully passed away with his family by his side at 1:00 a.m. on February 3, 2024 in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 60 years. Rick was born on December 30, 1963 in Thompson, Manitoba to Alfred Zastre and Rosanne Corbel and later moved and was raised in Sainte Rose du Lac, Manitoba.

He is survived by his son Christopher; his parents Alfred and Sylvia; his brother Sandy (Patricia); niece Darryl; grandmother Eglantine; as well as many many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rick was predeceased by his mother Rosanne; his grandparents Jean-Louis and Marie-Louise Corbel; and his grandfather George Zastre.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff on Unit 6F at the Regina General Hospital for all the care, kindness and support provided to them. Also, to Arnold Breland who made the long drive from Calgary, Alberta to be with us during this very difficult time.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in Sainte Rose du Lac at a later date.
