Obituaries

Rena passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Shirley, George and Linda and son Michael.

Rena is lovingly remembered by her children Debbie, Neil (Amy) and Bonnie; grandchildren Brittney (Tanner), Kaden, Abby, Varrick and Neesa (Jay); all her nieces, nephews and all her special friends that she enjoyed sharing a good meal with; as well as her special niece Crystal that supported her in many ways.

Rena was born in Punnichy, Saskatchewan on December 24, 1950. She attended day school and moved to Regina. Rena retired from the Regina Public School Board after 30 years. She was a strong supporter of the labour movement and was a board member at the Regina and District Labour Council for many years. In retirement Rena was a rock of support for many family members and friends and will be greatly missed.

As per Rena’s request there will be a small graveside service for immediate family. Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and she was very appreciative of the deepfelt care she received at the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit 3A. Donations may be made in Rena’s memory to Carmichael Outreach.
