Schmidt, Paul Henry

November 10, 2025

Paul Henry Schmidt

It is with great sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Schmidt. Paul passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family by his side, on November 10, 2025 at the age of 67.

He was predeceased by his parents Georgette and Walter; his brothers Wayne, Leonard, Walter, and George; his sister Myrna and sisters-in-law Bev and Marceda.

Paul was number 10 of 13 children. He was born in Gravelbourg, SK and moved to Regina, SK with his family when he was 6 years old.

Paul was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife Shawna; daughters Haley (Connor) Neumann and Rosemithe “Rose”; as well as many other extended families. He also had a special place in his heart for his family fur babies Nixon, Holly and Otto, and will be reunited with Apricot and Boon.

Paul will be remembered for his love of gardening, quick wit, spending time with his kids and fur babies, and hanging out in the garage and fixing things. He was a lifelong sports fan, who loved the game of CFL football and hockey, cheering on the Riders and many beloved hockey teams over the years. He was a true news junkie and a devoted follower of current events and politics.

Paul’s passing is deeply felt by his loving wife, Shawna, who treasures the life they shared for 35 years of marriage. Paul’s memory will be forever cherished by his two daughters and son-in-law. He will be forever loved and dearly missed. Though our hearts are heavy, we remember Paul for the love, laughter, and strength he shared with us throughout his life.

Paul had a myriad of health problems and many struggles over the years greatly affecting his quality of life in the end.

His family would like to thank all his care providers over the years for enabling his family to enjoy the many years with him.

Paul’s family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their love and support during this time, and over the years.

Rest easy, until we meet again.

Honoring Paul’s request, no funeral service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Our deepest codolences to all the family. Although, we haven't seen each other for years now, Paul's name was often brought up in the years that have passed. When we were kids, we spent much time together on the farm in Lafleche. Those childhood years are never forgotten. We love you cousin. Rest in peace. Vern & Diane Peterson
