Obituaries

The family of Patricia Anne Mielke (nee Eberts) sadly announce her sudden passing from a short illness, with family by her side, on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the age of 80 years.

Patricia was born in Lumsden, SK to Mary (nee Matlock) and Tony Eberts. Pat grew up in Regina, SK and after school moved to Grenfell, SK working with the Credit Union. She had a brief stint in Glasnevin, SK and then returned to Regina where Pat remained for the rest of her life. She retired after many years working for Dr. Garbe. Pat loved spending time with family and close friends she made at Grace Lutheran Place in Regina. Everyone will always remember her infectious laugh and smile. She enjoyed curling and playing cards, often holding “one from every country”. Pat also looked forward to the recreational gambling tours taken with her sister Marlene.

Pat was predeceased by her mother Mary and father Tony. She is survived by her brother Ken (Claire) Eberts; her sisters Marlene (Ron) Tkatchuk and Linda (Lyle) Petryna; many dear nephews, a niece and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Special thanks to the “girls” at William Booth Special Care Home, Regina, SK for their compassionate care. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
