Beattie, Mark William

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark William Beattie on September 5, 2026 at the age of 64 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Mark was born on September 26, 1961, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to William and Ruth Beattie (Norbeck). He grew up in Regina, lived in Calgary, Alberta for a time, spent a brief period in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and returned to Regina in 2009.
Throughout his life, Mark worked as a roofer and was known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. He enjoyed cooking and feeding his friends and family, usually while watching Rider games in his backyard. Through his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others, he touched the lives of many.
He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Ruth Beattie, and his stepmother Connie Beattie (Sherratt).
Mark is lovingly remembered by his children Tiffany Burge and Justin Burge (Megan); his siblings Sheree Sentes (Ralph), Cindy McDonald (Brian), and Ian Beattie (Brenda); his stepsisters Deborah Bordelay and Shawna Morin (Rob); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A very casual Come-and-Go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Regent Family Restaurant & Neighbourhood Pub, 3823 Sherwood Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan. Those wishing to attend are warmly invited to join the family in remembering and celebrating Mark from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mark will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Mark lived 2 doors down from me as a child on Cleland Street. I spent many a day over at his house/ backyard building forts and getting into trouble like young boys do. Rest in peace Mark. Gone way too young.

To know Mark is to know his expertise at roofing, motorcycling, sledding, water skiing, (Just to list a few talents) was unrivaled. The Master! Born with the agility and focus of a gymnast, he applied his skills and talents instinctively. Mark grew up in a country of freedoms' and funs'. Mark was among the last of his generation of 'real men'. Nothing that this 'New-Kanada-Order' generation can even begin to fathom...sadly. Mark was/is an alumni of 'The Old School'. A man with a heart of gold within a country of rust. To best describe Mark in one phrase, "Just a good ol' boy, never meanin' no harm..." R.I.P.
