Benz, Marjorie R.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marjorie Benz, who left us peacefully on her own terms at home on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the age of 80.
Born in Montmartre, SK on March 23, 1946, Marjorie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and a cherished friend to many. She dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. In her earlier years she enjoyed her time working for Dallard’s Clothing store and Sears Bargain center. She loved gardening, playing cards with friends and watched the Blue Jays faithfully each season.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Don; her children Kirk, Shanan (Carla) their children Alexis and Madison, Tatum (Kara) their children Kathryn and Gwyneth; her brother George (Valerie) Stoppler their children Jennifer (Jeff) Robertson, Stacy Stoppler (Mike), Cassandra Stoppler. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Katherine Stoppler.
There will be a graveside service with the family as per her wishes.
The family would like to thank the folks from William Booth (Salvation Army) and the Pasqua Hospital, both in Regina, SK for their continuous help and support looking after Marjorie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salvation Army Regina William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.

Growing up visiting Don and Marge with my grannie Agnes Howard playing cards was some of my favorite memories from my childhood both at the house and her apartment. Whenever grannie had a garage sale Marge would always visit and make the day go by so fast. When grannie passed away Marge and Don hosted our family there for family videos and it was just like old times of giggles and heart warming moments. Marge always bugged me playing shuffleboard in the basement at grannies house on Lindsay street. Always had a smile on her face and was very welcoming to myself and my family. Marge, you will be missed. Until we meet again. Live and light to Don, Marge and Don’s families at this time.
